September blog – Pumpkin Spice & all things nice  🧡
Reiki Rach
Happy September everyone. We are heading into my favourite season AUTUMN. The warm colours, the cozy fires and delicious flavours. 🤩
I feel that autumn and winter get a bit of a bad rap. Everyone is excited about the new beginnings of spring and the long days of summer but as soon as September hits the mood changes.
We start to complain about the wind, the rain and the dark evenings. But even the most beautiful rose needs the rain to bloom.
Autumn is all about winding down preparing for the winter ahead, hibernation. Everyone needs time to rest and reset. Remember even God left the seventh day for rest. We need it, physically, mentally and emotionally.
If you attended our last healing day you will know that I have started training to become a Naturopathic Health Coach. As you may know I am all about natural remedies, using nature to help us heal and keep us healthy. So this just seemed like a natural path for me.

I am so excited to share my knowledge with you all. How we can use nature’s gifts to heal ourselves and reach optimum health. It also ties in nicely with my reiki and crystal healing and mindfulness and meditation qualifications.

It enables me to provide a service that can bring you peace and harmony for mind, body and spirit. And this is my passion and main goal. I feel that the strains of the modern world can deplete us and my aim is to help you find peace, love and harmony. That being said I thought that I would share with you a recipe to help you in this transition period from summer to autumn.
This is a delicious high protein, nutrient dense and antiparasitic drink. Made using seasonal ingredients and bringing us into harmony with this beautiful season and giving us the all important nutrient boost we need at this time of year. It’s great to add to your protein shake, overnight oats or add a spot of raw cacao powder and make a healthy milkshake for the kids (or yourself).

Recipe
1 cup of organic pumpkin seeds
2 cups organic coconut water/filtered water
2 organic medjool dates
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Sprinkle organic cinnamon
Splash of organic vanilla extract
****
Method
1. Soak your pumpkin seeds over night in filtered water.
2. Drain your pumpkin seeds
3. Add all your ingredients to a blender and wizz them up
4. Sive the mix into a a glass jar
5. Store in the fridge for up to 4 days (if it lasts that long)
** A few little reminders
REMEMBER to soak your oats over night
Using COCONUT WATER you are adding even more goodness to your pumpkin milk with added electrolytes and don’t forget the added bonus of the yummy flavour
DON’T forget to take the stones out of the dates
USE Celtic sea salt where possible as it is much better for you, you can swap this out for Himalayan salt if needed
ADD as much cinnamon as you like I say a sprinkle as I know it’s not everyone’s favourite spice but CINNAMON really is a wonderful spice it has so many healing properties
FINALLY, if you are adding chocolate to your pumpkin milk please don’t use instant hot chocolate as it’s full of nasties.
I hope you will give this pumpkin spice and all things nice drink a try and please get in touch and let us know what you think.
Wishing you all an amazing autumn
Peace, Love & Harmony
