Close the Hatch.
Chakras 8 Close the Hatch: Why is there such a big thing about opening chakras? Why do people insist on doing this pose to do this, that pose to open that. It is a lot like hip openers, we can cause pain for the students. Why do many think with a little bit of instruction we now have the ability to open another chakras.
Oh yes, the Western way!
Let us look at it another way, then we may begin to understand the dangers of messing with our chakras. Would we allow someone from outside to open the hatch of a submarine that we were in?
What could possibly go wrong!
Let that sink in – no pun intended lol
We should ask ourselves why a submarine hatch would be closed. Why can’t it stay open all the time, what harm could it do? The hatch needs to be closed at times so it can operate in its environment safely. When is it safe to open the hatch? What would happen if someone tried to force it open from the outside?

Would a damaged hatch make our vessel Seaworthy
Many still believe that the poses open and close the energy centres but this is not the case for most born in the West. Yoga teachers in the West are not spiritual teachers, they are not the same as their Eastern counterparts. Even in the East much spirituality is lost to the rise in commercialism.
We cannot serve two masters!
To help understand this, it is worth reading our article “Christ Krishna Seed”. This will provide some background information. Let’s just say if another had control of a vessel, then the vessel captain would be redundant.
Each captain is in control of their vessel, in our cases the spirit within over the human form. When Krishna taught it was to establish connection between spirit and the physical body. This harmony would allow the spirit within to communicate. Taking this one step further to find the God consciousness within.
The next evolution of spiritual development would be to understand that Krishna is the Christ within, not just the spirit. To let our true teacher the Christ light guide us, influence our decision-making, show us a better way and improve our actions ensuring connection to the divine.
Yeshua’s words, “no one comes to the father except through me”, makes more sense now.
What he is saying that we must live the vibrations of the Christ light.
We must imitate and animate our poses! Remember a pose is a materialised thought!
In previous epochs, Krishna’s light (Christ light) was external, but it was through his influence alone did the pose have any ability (vibrations) to bring around change and improvement. This is a very important concept to understand, spiritual development at this time was a reflection of the Christ light.
Where there is light there can be no dark, not many will understand this in a yoga context. This excluded teaching explains why we have so many negative effects in our yoga classes. Crying being one of the most normalised, the teacher is not there to protect the students.
Messing with chakras from an external position is another. Let’s ask another question. Next time to we look at our yoga teachers, ask ourselves, can this person transmute our karma. Can this person cancel any bad karma we have accrued. Can putting ourselves into a yoga position burn off karmic actions.
No, they can’t!
However, let us return to the importance of our chakras being closed. Many years ago, before phone cameras, we always had to take our pictures to be developed. There was always a danger of them being over exposed. What we mean is that too much light had ruined the picture.
In many cases a problem with the Iris or aperture (opening the shutters for longer than needed). For our regular readers, you will understand the connections from reading our other articles.
Spiritual development is slow and sure footed, too much too soon is dangerous for the student, mind and vessel.
Whereas a picture may be ruined, for many, this over exposure can create unpleasant consequences in the physical form. Dizziness, lightheaded, buzzing or vomiting to name a few. Not to mention mental instability. We know because we have helped many over the years to understand and correct.
Chakras 8, Close the hatch.
Our own spirit within knows when we are ready, this is because the teacher is within. The teacher controls the lessons. The inner teacher knows how much light we need for growth and to protect from over exposure. Think of the effects of heat stroke!
We must never think we can behave in a bad way, pop out a few poses and our chakras will open. Chakras open on development of spirit and spiritual qualities. When these qualities are reflected in our actions, deeds and thoughts, then the energy centres will bloom when the time is right.
Thoughts, actions, behaviours, not poses, give the chakras what they need to bloom.
What many do not understand in our Western yoga classes is we are doing a very small aspect of the training. Our vessels are no way prepared. What we are taught is really nothing more than stretching. The more we try and open our chakras without the preceding changes in behaviour and thoughts, we will waste our time at a minimum if we are lucky.
Our minds and thoughts must be guided by the captain via the spirit within.
A closed chakra, a hatch is closed for a reason. Do our yoga teachers know better than the spirit within? The spirit within knows how much light to let in. Spirit controls the iris, the aperture, the shutters, the hatch. It knows our level of spiritual refinement; it knows our path, it knows if we are C-Worthy.
We are taught from the light, the light is within, we unfold from within.
More than anything a closed hatch protects the vessel until the right time. Until the human form is ready for the changes that will take place. Looking to a pose to bring around change will not work. If we are looking for salvation and change externally, we will only ever find despair.
We cannot put new wine in an old skin.
We must hold the pose pain free
It is more important than ever that if we wish to understand the chakras and we live in the West, we need to understand what being Christed truly is. Being Christed is not owned nor controlled by any one religion. It is universal.
Being Christed is to have all chakras open.
Yoga, union, the yoke is easy when we follow the path of the peaceful warrior. The approach from the West. For all our yoga practitioners, your heads are about to fall off!
We know the peaceful warrior by his Western name.
The peaceful warrior is Yeshua.
His poses are de-materialised thought, for they are spirit. They come from,
the Christ within, Yeshua’s teacher.
