Lost: This article is written for those who are suffering, confused, in pain and lost. The intention is show that there is help, a path, a guiding light. It doesn’t matter if we sit alone or in a room full of friends, we can be lost.
Being lost can be painful to say the least, we may not know which way to turn or what to do for the best. We may need a solution that cannot be found. We may not be able to think straight or even hold a thought in our minds. Confusion and chaos can reign supreme.
Sometimes there are reasons and factors for being lost, sometimes there are not. Life can throw some curve balls that bring our lives into total disarray. We may have even caused this confusion and chaos for ourselves by our own actions.
We would like our readers to know regardless of what situation we find ourselves dealing with, we can find some control. We may be lost for many reasons, physically, emotionally, spiritually, work, home, family and relationships. The list goes on. It may be grief, trauma, events we cannot change or broken trust. At times in life our whole world can be turned upside down.
Using a little something from the yoga world, the symbolism of the head stand.
Physical life can cause some terrible pain with no understanding or thoughts of fairness. These pains and problems may lead us down dark paths, drinking to much, taking drugs, self-harm and bad choices. When we say self-harm there are many ways, we can do this. Being lost can be painful, lonely, depressive and traumatic and debilitating.
Isolated, Deserted, Forlorn, Fallen.
What if we are one who remains after another has taken their lives or when a loved one or friend is killed for no reason. An accident at work, protecting another from harm, illness or disease strikes. These things can be some of the cruellest of all, out of the blue, nowhere, without warning and no time. We may not only be lost but confused and angry.
Being lost can cause so much pain in the heart, chaos in the mind and physical suffering. If we have been mistreated by someone we trusted, how do we reconcile that? If we are grieving or in mental and emotional chaos, how do we find a way to stand up? Financial burdens and family pressures pushing us under, where is the courage to keep on.
What if we do not know the reasons or affairs of the heart have broken us. The person that loved us no longer does. Those that were supposed to love and protect us, failed in what we needed. The past tormenting us, our now, our tomorrow. We may be so different from others and feel we don’t fit in, a loner when we want to share our lives with another.
What if we are spiritually lost and all that we thought and believed is not what we thought. If we have become disillusioned with that those who were supposed to be helping us, teaching and guiding us. What if our teachers have fallen from grace or our so called practices create more confusion. We may not know how to move forward on our own.
It can be so easy to let negative thoughts swamp us. It can be doubly hard to fight them and more so.
Age, peer pressure, self-expectation and responsibilities can all add to being lost. We can put this another way and that is lack of direction. It can be the hardest thing to battle when a person is in emotional distress or our self-worth is destroyed. Broken trust, lies betrayal, let down, unhappiness in our jobs. It doesn’t matter what has led us there.
What may sound easy, really is not.
Sometimes being lost is part of the journey, many of us will have heard stories from the bible about the Israelites wandering the deserts for 40 years (lost) symbolically. In cases being lost can be preventative to stop us taking a path that may be more damaging than another. It may be that being lost leads us into further problems, hurt and upset.
However, within each one of us is our own guiding star, our light within. This may sound very odd or rubbish and this is ok. Nevertheless, it will lead us all back to point of security and stability if we want it to. It doesn’t cost an arm or a leg. We don’t have to repeat stories and words that bring memories to life which in return inflict further heartache.
Empty, Adrift, Disorientated, Unfilled.
Searching, but for what?
For those reading this who are lost, we would like to share a different take for all to consider. Being lost can be a good place to find direction. The outside world, the physical world may never quench our thirst or fill what is empty. The physical world cannot always fix what is broken, but what we all carry within, CAN.
What we all carry within our physical shell is LIGHT. It is not governed by religion or theology, trauma, pain or suffering. It is not bound by physical laws or words of another, it is the ultimate band aid, the healer of healers. When we are lost consider the Light as a compass in your pocket, it knows what we need and how to get us there. It loves us. Let’s say that again” It Loves Us”. We may not feel it, but the light is always there for us.
Like having a compass in our pocket, if we don’t take it out or use it, how can it help guide us.
Whatever pain we are going through our own light will help us. It is the same light in every human being on this planet. When our friends and family are lost, shining a bit of light on the situation, or when another is going through dark times, a little bit of light goes a long way. Light brings clarity without interfering in another’s path.
This being said we can choose to believe or not. We can close the door on the help that is waiting for us. There are no words needed, we can ask for help or not. Light by illumination always helps.
However we imagine , it is ok, it may be a lightbulb, a torch, a flame, it may be the light cast by the setting or rising sun. it may be the reflection on the sea or from the crack of a door. It is so simple. See this light over our hearts, filling our bodies, bringing peace, contentment and understanding.
By default, building our own light and sharing it helps those around us without interfering. We may not know how to help another we are worried about, just share your light. The light knows what to do.
If we are all stuck in a dark room and do not know where to go or what to do, just by one turning the light on, it will help many! Think about it!
We may not feel anything (at first) we may not really understand what we are doing but the light brings a healing vibration, a loving vibration, a guiding vibration. This vibration will raise our spirits and will help us see and feel differently. It may be comfort that we need, a different way of looking at things, or letting go of pain and torment that ruins our today.
Supreme Love
On the bus, on the train, walking around the shops, imagine your own beautiful light supporting and strengthening, guiding. Sad, upset, angry, frustrated, the light will provide the vibrations to counter and remedy what we are going through. We may feel lost but know the light will bring us to where we need to be and just by raising our own, we can help others without tampering with the karmic path or lessons of another.
If and when the time comes or is upon us now. We are so lost, sad and lonely, we cannot see the wood for the trees, then please try and find your light. The more we try and use it, it will develop on its own. We may feel that no other can help us or what we are going through or take the burdens we carry.
This may appear true, but we can all help ourselves, our own light, Supreme Love, what will help is within and what ever burden, pain or suffering we are enduring, there is help, respite and a path to peace, We will be found, whole, complete, unity.
